The cover reads THE UNSEEN UNIVERSITY, Ankh-Morpork's Premier Institution of Higher (and Arcanum) Learning, over an illustration of towers and lawns with books and ribbons of light drifting between them, and carries a gold wax seal stamped UU. The left inner page is headed FACULTIES & CURRICULUM and lists Advanced Thaumaturgy, Distinguished Faculty (Mostly Alive), Theoretical Hex-Engineering, Applied Metaphysics, Complimentary Robes (Washable, ish), History of Dubious Magic and Librarian-Approved Bibliography. The right inner page is headed STUDENT LIFE and lists the Common Room, Student Housing (Some Rooms Have Windows), the Dining Hall (Second Helpings Encouraged), the Bursar's Worry List, Scholarships (Inquire at the Beggar's Guild) and a dormitory with a cat asleep on the bed. Along the foot: Unseen University, Endless Street, Ankh-Morpork, a small map, and a note that the University is not responsible for spontaneous combustion, transmutation or temporal displacement. The brochure covers the faculties and what is taught in them, the degrees and how long each takes to fail, student life from the common room to the dormitories, board and lodging, fees, scholarships, term dates such as they are, and the disclaimer the Bursar insisted upon. It is handed out at the gate to anyone who asks and to several people who did not.
